Caring for the sick and injured animals of people in need
We are pleased our Banbury branches can offer PDSA PetAID services to eligible clients.
Through us the PDSA provides a limited range of veterinary care free of charge for owners who cannot afford private vet fees. The type of pet is not limited to dogs and cats – all popular domestic pets are treated, including those described as ‘small furries’ – rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils rats and mice.
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, pet owners need to live within the postcode OX16 and must be receiving certain specified ‘means tested’ financial help from the Government.
What do I need to do?
You can find out if you are eligible from the PDSA PetAid Website.
If you are eligible you can obtain a registration form from our Reception Team
Before you receive any treatment you must first obtain and complete a registration form from our reception staff.
Send your completed registration to PDSA
This form will need to be completed and sent to the PDSA who will consider your application and may then provide you with a PetAid Certificate entitling you to free treatment under the PetAid Scheme.
Once you have obtained your PetAid Certificate you can then seek treatment for your pet under the PetAid Scheme
Please note that a number of veterinary services are not available under the PetAid scheme and that treatment for pre-existing conditions is also excluded.
