As the lockdown period has been extended it is important that procedures such as neutering and vaccination should now be carried out to protect public and animal health. West Bar Veterinary Hospital is now carrying out vaccinations and neutering of all pets as required in addition to the necessary, essential and emergency treatment we have provided over the current period.

If you are well and not from a household that is self-isolating please make an appointment as usual. Please can we ask that

  • Contact our team to arrange to see you by appointment
  • You bring a fully charged mobile telephone with you to speak to our team on arrival and during your visit
  • Only one member of the family accompanies the pet where possible.
  • That your pet is brought to the practice on a secure collar and lead/ harness or in a secure basket
  • That you follow the advise given by our team in particular maintaining 'social distancing' and using the hand sanitisers provided if you asked to enter the building.

  • If you are unwell or from a self isolating household please ring the practice and speak to our team in the first instance. We have a number of options for veterinary attention in place to assist you.

    Welcome to our Practice

We are a modern, progressive, independently owned RCVS Accredited Veterinary Hospital practice.

In 2018, following his two day assessment, the RCVS Practice Standards Assessor wrote :

"The excellent entrance, reception and waiting area reflects well on the standards of work throughout the practice. Both the level of equipment and clinical facilities are of the highest standard enabling a caring and conscientious team to work to the very high standards they desire. Detailed and thorough clinical auditing over many years provides significant information and demonstrate high standards are achieved and maintained."

Our friendly and enthusiastic team provide a full 24 hours a day 7 days a week service. We give the pets and animals entrusted to us the very highest standard of veterinary care.
